Immediate trials have been carried out in New Zealand on a variety of horticultural applications, and other specialised market segments such as cut flowers.
Trials have also been carried out in Australia.
The anecdotal evidence has been overwhelmingly positive.
A range of testimonials is available for examination covering cherries, apricots, olives, kiwifruit, strawberries, cut flowers, and a number of other specialised markets.
Quantitative work has been carried out by the New Zealand Government CRI (Crown Research Institute) Crop and Food, the CRI HortResearch in conjunction with two of the major export cherry growers in Central Otago, and with one of New Zealand’s leading kiwifruit growers who has extensive interests in Australia.
The results from these trials are also positive and the reports are available together with notes explaining the financial benefits for growers.
The results of these trials are representative of a number of market sub-segments within the horticulture market, and can be readily extrapolated to markets in Australia, the United States, and Europe. |
